DatabasePilot privacy
Privacy, described as the product works today.
This notice covers the current public release. It does not claim providers, retention periods or data practices that are not configured.
Information DatabasePilot receives
When you visit DatabasePilot, the hosting service may receive ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL and request time in server logs. DatabasePilot does not currently ask for an account.
Newsletter and coverage requests
DatabasePilot Signal is not currently accepting email submissions because no newsletter provider endpoint is enabled. Request Coverage submissions are also not currently enabled. When either service is configured, the interface will explain the submission and send the information only to the configured endpoint.
Email addresses and free-text form contents are never included in DatabasePilot analytics events.
Analytics and tracking
The current DatabasePilotAnalytics component is an in-browser event allowlist and dispatcher. No Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, advertising pixel or other third-party analytics adapter is configured in this release, and the dispatcher does not send events over the network by itself.
Because no non-essential analytics or advertising provider is active, DatabasePilot does not display a consent banner. The footer privacy control accurately shows the current state and can support an optional provider later without pre-selecting consent.
Local product state
The Observatory uses localStorage to remember that its onboarding introduction was dismissed. This is necessary product state, not an advertising identifier. If optional analytics is configured in a future release, a separate local preference may record whether analytics was accepted or declined.

DatabasePilot links to database websites, source documentation and other external pages. Those sites operate under their own privacy practices.
Retention and your questions
DatabasePilot does not publish invented retention periods. Information submitted to a future configured provider will be handled according to the provider configuration and the notice presented at that time.
